We are not your typical commercial bakery.
20 Shekels is an artisan bakery specializing in organic sprouted breads and pastries.
Our products are handcrafted daily and we bake in small batches to ensure quality and to avoid leftovers. We source our ingredients weekly and plan our menu around items which make the cut.
If something doesn't meet our standards, we won’t use it. If we discover something fantastic, we will.
Our philosophy is simple: Bake magnificent things.
Our online pre-order menu is a curated list of available items. It’s updated weekly and spotlights special things we think you’ll enjoy.
A full selection can be found in the bakery. If you see something you want when you arrive, you can always add to your existing order.
Production for the day starts several hours before the door opens for business.
Just like fine wine and good cheese, great bread takes time. Batch sizes are determined by existing pre-orders, the average sold on the day, weather reports, and a coin flip.
Once the dough has been mixed, the die is cast.
If you would be disappointed to discover that a particular item is sold out, please pre-order.
We sell out early and often. That’s our goal.
Pre-orders must be placed the day before you want to pick up. For example, if you want to pick up your order on Friday, please place your order by Thursday.
We’re unable to accept SAME DAY online orders. (For all the reasons above.)
If there is something you want today (same day), call us at 727-279-5415.
If it’s still available, we’ll happily hold it for your arrival.
Some items are only available on certain days. That’s deliberate.
A big menu may look impressive but it dilutes focus and serves average. We’d rather be magnificent at a few than mediocre at many.
We’re open for business on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7am until 1pm…or SELL OUT.
When we sell out, we lock up for the day and go home. Because, you know, there’s nothing left to sell.
We send out a weekly email to let you know that the menu has been updated, what the special items are and the days of availability.
This is a really simple way to stay in the know and we highly recommend it.
